Recently, I received some less-than-stellar feedback on my most long-standing project, a manuscript I’ve been writing for the last decade. Honestly, it was really difficult to receive. Yet, it was also a relief, a recognition that I cannot do this alone.
I deeply desire my creative practices and the offerings I want to share with the world to be Spirit-led. I want them to have the energy of life infused into their bones. I want my work to be connected to something beyond my capacity to mold or shape.
I want to be shaped by my creativity in service to Love.
I haven’t always (even remotely) operated this way. While I can feel the power of the Muse or the Spirit of Inspiration with me in the beginning stages of my projects, I often rush out ahead of it once the idea comes through—forgetting to collaborate with the source of the inspiration. I can feel this shift in my body—delight and excitement turn to anxiety, tension, and mental exhaustion.
Welcome, burnout.
Welcome over-committing on projects I don’t have the energetic capacity to follow through on.

Money is another layer I’m doing my best to explore with curiosity and compassion, rather than judgment and shame. Often, when I’m rushing ahead, prioritizing certain projects over others, or succumbing to overwhelm, money is at the heart of my motivation. Seeking external validation rather than being of service. Needing proof instead of trusting my inner knowing and inherent worth.
It’s all a work in progress, one I’m learning to accept with grace and maybe even appreciation?
This morning, with my Spirit-led intention in mind, I spent some time journaling, asking Spirit for wisdom and guidance around expanding my tarot practice.
My ego did not like this. At all.
Even writing the question brought up all kinds of resistance, evidence of my attachment to doing things my way or thinking I know best. However, some beautiful reminders came through, despite my hesitance. May they be in service to you, through Love. 💗

Letter from Spirit
Dear One—
Don’t be afraid of the nos. They are actually liberating! Your ego attachments flee from the idea of rejection but there is no rejection here. Only loving re-direction.
If you are open to it, we are here to help you find and discover the unique ways and opportunities you were created to serve Love. One of those ways is being a mother. One is a writer. One is a spiritual practitioner and healer.
We are only asking you to dig deep. There is nothing wrong with desiring more money, or even focusing on it. However, your experience with all of your endeavors to make money will only become richer if you align with your heart’s powerful intention to serve.
Use tarot as a tool to offer your loving presence, which the world so needs! Use it to offer encouragement, to help others return to their spiritual nature, to connect in sacred ritual.
Anything that you view as a “cash cow” of sorts will lose its deeper power to transform you and others, even if externally it offers wealth.
We are not saying no here—though part of you wishes we were! We are saying yes/and. You have the agency to pursue whatever you wish and the specifics really don’t matter as there are millions of ways for you to authentically share your gifts and receive wealth (it’s not a dirty word, we just have a broader definition for it).
You are supported in all the ways— we are encouraging you to align with your soul mission no matter what you pursue and your work will become golden.
